2010

Happy 2010 everyone!

I have started my new school term and my folks have decided that its time I stay in school for the entire day instead of half a day. Mummy was worried that I may not be able to adjust spending whole day in school(which also means I need to take afternoon nap there as well), so she requested for a week trial. Well, it turned out to be a non-event for me though. Drinking milk and sleeping are my hobbies so it does not matter where it is done as long as I have my nappy and tu tu. : )

2 weeks have passed and I am still enjoying every moment in school. Everyone at home is happy too because they said I have since improved on my speech and social skills. Besides, gone are the days that I engaged war with mummy and grandma during meal times. (i am soooorry..) Now, I cant wait for dinner to be served when I get home. I am not longer a fussy eater, in fact, I am more adventurous on the stuff on the table. I think I should soon be ready for buffet.. : )

Puzzles!!!

I am a great fan of puzzles. My first attempt with this Infantino spelling puzzles was six months ago and I fell in love with it completely. Since then, I have been busy with the pieces everyday. Grandma added another Infantino 3D spelling puzzles to my collection and I really enjoy building them. Mummy also went puzzle shopping. She picked up this series of puzzles from Popular Bookstore ranging from transportation to insects to animals. They are more excited than me because I can fix puzzles that are meant for 3 yrs and above all by myself even on first attempt. My latest addition is this 28pcs giant floor puzzle. Daddy who bought it today at some bookstore took time to guide me and teach me how to identify patterns and segments since this is the first time that I am challenged with a puzzle that comes in so many pieces. With daddy's help, I completed it within 30 mins and wow... its a lovely picture of Noah's Ark. I cant stop staring at it. Eventually when it is time to sleep, I reluctantly dismantled the pieces and put them away in the box. Well, I shall revisit it again tomorrow and hopefully I can do it with lesser help. : )

Independence Day??

Talking about being independent. I have started feeding myself using fork and spoon during meal time this week. No sweat for a new beginner. On Sunday, we went to New York New York at Downtown East for dinner. Daddy ordered my favourite fish and chips and I enjoyed the battered fish and the yummy chips so much that I almost wiped out the basket..

The second attempt was on Monday. Mummy cooked dinner. This time I learnt to scope rice with my Thomas The Tank Engine spoon, and man.. its pretty tough.. I managed to eat 3/4 of the bowl and the fed rest to my Ikea bib and the floor.. oops..

Daddy and mummy gave me a nice surprise today. Guess what? I have my own bed in my own room!! I mean a BED and not a cot. This is really cool. I ran and climbed onto the bed and eventually fell asleep there. I'm rolling with the big boys now..

Its almost midnight now, daddy is chasing me all over the house to get me to bed, well, fat chance! I like my new pad but I like my independence more. Hooray!! Hee hee..

Grandpa and grandma flew off to Melbourne yesterday evening on the new SIA A380. They will be putting up with granduncle Thia, grandaunt Penny and family for this trip. Its really sweet of them to host the folks and I am sure they will have a great time catching up.

My Ah kong and Ah ma are here to keep Gabby and me company for the week. I am sure to keep them busy. : ) Car ride.. shopping.. mcdonalds.. playground..

Daddy is currently clearing up the en-suite so that Gab and I can sleep in it. It's an overdue project but better to be late than never...The house is now in a messy state with boxes and nothing else but boxes. To add to the mess, there are also stuff we bought from Ikea a week ago and among them is my new bed. How exciting! Cant wait to jump on it. : )

Well, thank God for daddy for he has been working hard on this massive project despite of his heavy workload and stress he faces. Jia you, daddy! I Bah Bu!!

My Mei Mei, Gabrielle

All I remembered was turkey porridge dinner in a rush for everyone in the house and I could sense excitement in the air. Next thing I know, we went on a car ride, dropping daddy and mummy at Mt. Alvernia Hospital (I know becos I was born there..hee) then I went back home with grandpa n grandma. At about 2 hours later, I became a Kor Kor..!! How exciting.. So here is a pic of my cute mei mei, Gabrielle. Folks said she looks like me at birth.. and guess what, she weighs exactly the same as me too at 3.07kgs! Wow.. God's works are indeed amazing.. even our birth time are almost the same.. I was born at 1130hrs and she at 1135hrs... so cool..

Can't wait for her to come home.. Gonna show her all my Thomas collections : )

I mean emotionally.. well, I am sure I will overcome the jealousy part very soon and be a loving kor kor since they said its only a passing phase... but for now, I just want 101% of attention from daddy n mummy...

Day 121

My grandpa and grandma joined me at church this morning to witness the Child Dedication ceremony officiated by Pastor Dinah. There were about 15 other babies together with their parents. Pastor Dinah was really amazing... she memorised and remembered all the names of children and their parents!!! Wow.. With this dedication, daddy and mummy have committed themselves to teach, guide and be a Christlike example before me...and me, I am to love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind & my 'milk' strength.. : )

Straight after church I went for my hair appointment at Aunty Jessie's hair salon. MY FIRST HAIRCUT! My hair is 4 months old and is getting long. Many aunties thought I am a girl lor... sigh.. lets just say I am a 'pretty boy'... Everyone said that I was a good boy because I didnt cry at all and have been quite cooperative during the entire process. Auntie Jessie really loves me lots.. fabulous hairdo... and free of charge somemore... thank you aunty Jessie... : )

Day 101

Daddy left for Vietnam yesterday and will only return next week. Nights seem to be quiet and lonely without him… mummy spent the whole night hitting on daddy’s PDA phone , looking very intense at a game called ‘bejeweled’… think she is trying to beat daddy’s high score.. Also, I don’t get to hear daddy blowing his nose.. and erm.. mummy nagging at daddy...
A day in the house of the Lord is better than a thousand days on earth! I went to church with mummy yesterday and thankfully many uncles and aunties were really helpful. Since mummy was all alone with me, they helped my mummy to carry my milk bag and the car seat carrier with me weighing at @7kgs… During lunch, they took turns to carry me so that mummy can have her lunch. Uncle Sebastian even took me for a walk at Centerpoint. Later, Fuquan kor kor also carried me to the taxi stand. Mummy told me that we are really blessed and everyone in the caregroup is so wonderful. Thank God for NG10A2! : )
