Day 29

Daddy and mummy were out at a prayer meet for a couple of hours today, so I had to personally train grandpa on the finer points of pampering me. Grandma was busy all day preparing the stewed vinegar-ed pig trotters. Dad's not too hot about the taste and smell, but it probably whets my appetite. Today I drank so much milk I even had to hold up my own chin to burp myself.

Day 28

Daddy played golf today and apparently feeding me continuously these past weeks has strenghtened his wrists; he was hitting the ball an extra 20m today. But he's rusty as a nail, so he didn't win a prize.

He looks red like a lobster now, I guess that's from being out in the sun all afternoon. Me, I just get my 5-minute sunshine every morning after my bath, enough to give me a nice glow.

Two days to my baby shower! : )

Thursday 28 June 2007

Day 27

*CHAK!* Mummy loves playing peek-a-boo with me, but I just find the camera plain amusing especially the black, round, reflective thingy in the middle.

The church office sent me a hamper today, that was very nice of them, especially Ps Ben & Ps Dinah. Thank you for your thoughtfulness! Now my wardrobe can rival mummy's : )

Wednesday 27 June 2007

Day 26

Let's take a break from my face for once. I'll try to feature my staff more, to show my appreciation to them. Here's grandma, who picks me up each morning, bathes and feeds me before putting me on my tummy for a good rest. In the days to come I'll try to feature mummy or daddy, right now they're both passed out from my 4-hour long meeting last night. Tsk tsk, good help is so hard to come by these days...

But if you insist, here's one of me today : )

Tuesday 26 June 2007

Day 25

This little piggy went to.....
La-la land.

This morning I shocked the folkies when I crawled and wriggled out of my nappy and blanky "cocoon". Daddy found me in a corner of my cot without my pants : ) I want to be an escape artiste when I grow up. Here I demonstrate my skills again by wriggling out of my mitten, using just one hand.

Monday 25 June 2007

Day 24

Grandma and mummy spent the whole day trying to make me chuckle again heeee heeee... check out my Beckham mohawk, can't see how long my hair really is but daddy says I look like a samseng.

Which is better, this mohawk or the *yawn* side-parting?
Uncle Wing Seng, what do you think? ; )

Sunday 24 June 2007

Day 23

Grandpa just fed me milk and put me in the playpen. Why is it called a playpen when nobody plays with me in here? Okay, I'll save my first chuckle for him later...

Saturday 23 June 2007

Day 22

That's the best wink I can do for now. Modelling is such hard work, now I need my milk.

Friday 22 June 2007

Day 21

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled to be in drag. It was probably because of the silly grin on daddy's face when he wrapped up my head like Little Bo Peep.

Thursday 21 June 2007

Day 20

Mummy's shot of the day: A sexy off-shoulder look in an outfit that is way too big for me. But I've grown quite a bit already, my feet can now touch the bed when propped up for my milk. This business of growing is fun! Soon I can shake-leg like daddy does when he feeds me.

Wednesday 20 June 2007

Day 19

FEEEEEEED MEEEEE!!!!

Tuesday 19 June 2007

Day 18

Another day's gone by. I just realised I haven't done very much really in these last 18 days although I achieved a Merlion last night. Felt a little colicky all night, in the end I've no idea how much milk I drank. This is me, still thinking about it.

Monday 18 June 2007

Day 17

Mummy must have decided there were too many 'standard' shots of me so today's collection features my bath, showing me in my glorious birthday suit. Kind of embarassing leh, so I decided to be a typical Singaporean and play it safe with this post-bath combed-hair look instead.

Sunday 17 June 2007

Day 16

Happy Father's Day, daddy, grandpa, uncle Benny and uncle James... and all the daddies out there!
Aunty Jo says her mummy-in-law has been pestering for a grandchild, I guess that means I can add uncle Terence to my next Father's Day greeting : )

Saturday 16 June 2007

Day 15

Its Saturday! Here I am reacting to the plush caterpillar that aunty Jackie got me last week now that I can focus better. Daddy says this one photo made her 5 bucks worth it. I wonder how the toy tastes? Seems yummy enough.

Friday 15 June 2007

Day 14

I am two weeks old today, woo-hoo! Two more weeks to my baby shower - can you tell the excitement from my face? Probably not, because I was actually taking a dump when this photo was taken hahahaha!!

Thursday 14 June 2007

Day 13

Nothing much to report today, just little me feeding, pooping, sleeping and acting cute for my mummy's daily mugshot collection. Heehee...

Wednesday 13 June 2007

Day 12

How's this for a contem-plative look? Picked it off daddy and grandpa. Probably runs in the family.

(-_- )

Tuesday 12 June 2007

Day 11

In between feeding off mummy, I had her eating out of my hands as I showed off my rapper poses. I must say, the woman is quite handy with the camera!

If only I could stop smacking my face with these cool hands...

Monday 11 June 2007

Day 10

Mummy takes over photography duties from today now that daddy's paternity leave is over. Poor guy, had these funny-looking sags in his eyes this morning; probably thinking how much he'll miss me today. In unrelated developments, I tested the parent siren-response last night extensively, worked well in all five instances.

Here's grandma carrying me after my bath and me hamming it up for the camera, can't let mummy think I'm an easy boring shoot. Got to show some attitude, especially when I can't wipe the pi-sai off my nose.

Sunday 10 June 2007

Day 9

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTY CINDY & SARAH JIE JIE!!

The whole family came over today, oh what a riot! Can't get enough of the attention, the laughter, silly baby talk and of course, the cuddling. I wonder if daddy and mummy will hold me all night tonight? Hmm....

Saturday 9 June 2007

Day 8

My first attempt at laughing, can't quite remember why I did, maybe it was everyone tickling my feet to make me finish my milk. Daddy says I'm chao-kwan-do black belt for my prolonged pit stops... but hey, how can you get angry with a smiling little guy eh? ; )

Friday 8 June 2007

Day 7

I'm getting really good with my fingers, I don't like these little baggies covering my hands. Hmm? Mittens, you say? So that's what they're called, anyhow, maybe if I held onto them, nobody would notice...

Thursday 7 June 2007

Day 6

My first day out! We went to my pediatrician early in the morning and it was good to sense new things. But the jab in the heel for my blood test was a major OW... and oh boy, did I let them know how I felt about it : )

A visit to mummy's gynae was nice, the aromatheraphy and soothing music made me smile, what a familiar place!

Oh, and my umbilical cord stump fell off today too, can't wait to sleep on my tummy, because grandma says babies love it!

Wednesday 6 June 2007

Day 5

Z-day for everyone, with yours truly leading the way. Today I had a great bath, a little manicure, drank and slept the day away. What's that? You miss what?

Tuesday 5 June 2007

Day 4

Took my facial muscles for a test drive today. Pulled all kinds of faces, much to the delight of the family. Daddy's found a new favourite subject to shoot. : )

Monday 4 June 2007

Day 3

Here's grandma with my milk. Today I had my first bath.. phew.. what an experience, the water was quite a shock really, albeit somewhat familiar. The pictures are kind of embarassing though, so I've asked daddy to use this post-bath-pacifying-feed pic which looks a lot more tranquil.

Sunday 3 June 2007

Day 2

Daddy says I looked really smug in this photo. But of course! There's nothing like having your own bed, with your own butlers at your beck and call to feed and clean you... ahh.. the simple life. One day I look like daddy then today, like mummy. My looks are still changing, and so will daddy and mummy's sleep cycle...heeee...

Saturday 2 June 2007

Day 1

I remember sleeping a lot. There was a lot of commotion, laughter and a sense of being moved around a lot in my bed.

There was lots to eat, even sometimes when I really just wanted to sleep.

Friday 1 June 2007

Hello World : )

Hi there everyone, I was born on 1st June 2007 to an answered prayer, hence my name Samuel, which in Hebrew means "Asked of God". God heard and answered daddy's, mummy's and many others' prayers. Your faith made me possible.

God answered mummy's prayer too as my due date approached. She prayed for a short and painless labour and only four hours after I accidentally broke my swimming pool, I was born.

This is me shortly after my birth, see the smile of relief? : )
